CIM materials are extremely hard, insulative, withstand high compressive stress, and maintain their properties at extremely high temperatures. These properties, however, also contribute to high tool wear in the injection molding process; shorter CIM tool life is the tradeoff for the ability to produce such high performance parts with complex geometries net-shape at a fraction of the cost of competing technologies.

  • Zirconia Oxide
